Question 1

Does DiaBelly replace a visit to the doctor?

Accepted Answer

No, not at all. DiaBelly is designed as a calm companion for your everyday life — precisely for the time between your medical appointments. All medical decisions should always be discussed with your treating doctor.

Question 2

What exactly does DiaBelly do?

Accepted Answer

DiaBelly is available in 37 languages. The free Light version lets you document blood glucose, nutrition and activity, and export your data for medical care. The paid full version during pregnancy includes all Light features plus educational videos, relaxation exercises, a community, appointment planning, regular consultations with a diabetes advisor, and partner discount codes. After birth, free aftercare continues to support you with guidance, reminders for important aftercare and screening appointments, and help with sustainable lifestyle changes.

Question 3

Will the app tell me what I can eat?

Accepted Answer

No. DiaBelly does not give nutritional recommendations and does not evaluate your entries. The app helps you to document and plan: the meal planner and recipe library contain general food information, and the photo ingredient recognition makes it easier to enter data. What suits you personally is something you discuss with your medical practice.

Question 4

Is my documentation secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Your health data belongs to you. We place the highest value on data protection and store your observations securely so that you can use them with confidence for your medical appointments.

Question 5

What does DiaBelly cost?

Accepted Answer

DiaBelly Light is free. The paid full version during pregnancy has three packages: Early Start through week 23 costs €149 once or 3 × €49.67; Standard (weeks 24–32) costs €99 once or 2 × €49.50; Final Stretch from week 33 costs €79 once, with no instalments. After birth, aftercare is free. See our pricing page at diabelly.de/preise for details.
